Artemio Rivera

Attorney 

Throughout his twenty six years as an attorney, Artemio has successfully litigated a variety of civil and criminal cases.   In his criminal practice he has represented clients against charges of honest services mail fraud, murder for hire, illegal drug importation, drug trafficking, money laundering, illegal possession of firearms, illegal re-entry, and others.  As a civil practitioner Artemio has litigated cases of trademarks, copyrights, personal injury, admiralty, ERISA, commercial disputes, bankruptcy, contracts, sexual harassment, and age, disability, and political discrimination.   

Artemio holds a Master of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico. Before entering law school, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Inter American University in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.  From 2004 to 2006, he taught legal research and writing as an adjunct professor at Inter American University School of Law.

Since he became a lawyer in 1994, Artemio has mostly practiced in the areas of federal criminal and civil litigation, employment law, and intellectual property.  From 1994 to 1996, Artemio worked as an associate in the labor department of Goldman Antonetti & Cordova in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1996 he began his private practice to this day.  

Artemio is admitted to practice in Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., and is licensed to appear before the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the United States courts of appeal for the First, Federal, and D.C. circuits.
